The architect Björn Trägårdh had an important role in Svenskt Tenn’s early history as he designed both furniture, lamps and pewter objects for the company. This floor lamp was designed by Trägårdh in the beginning of the 1930s.
Björn Trägårdh was a Swedish furniture designer, artist, illustrator and graphic artist who from 1928-1936 was a designer for Svenskt Tenn. During that period he created everything from pewter items and design products to lamps and furniture. Trägårdh worked primarily with a muted colour palette of black, white and grey elements.
