A characteristic Fornasetti cushion, featuring the famous face of opera singer and muse Lina Cavalieri gesturing silence. The sophisticated, monochrome design makes an intriguing addition to any interior. Every Fornasetti creation, from furniture and accessories to high quality textile items, is strictly handmade in Italy.
Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988) was an Italian painter, sculptor and designer who created more than 13,000 products during his career with a distinctive design style that is immediately recognisable. He is considered one of the 20th century’s foremost creative talents. Svenskt Tenn’s founder Estrid Ericson was friends with Piero Fornasetti and they had a great mutual respect for each other’s creations. They began working together in 1946. Today, Piero Fornasetti’s son, Barnaba, is perpetuating the tradition.
