Decorative wallpaper for all rooms

In Svenskt Tenn's online range there is wallpaper for bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and the library. Select printed wallpaper or a floral Josef Frank wallpaper. It’s a fine way to transform the bedroom and give it a warm and cosy feeling.

Wallpaper for every room

Svenskt Tenn has many beautiful wallpapers online, and all wallpapers are ideal for bedrooms. Here you can choose from floral wallpaper, wallpaper with other botanical motifs or elephant patterned wallpaper.  No matter which wallpaper that is your favourite, it will bring a warm and cozy feel to your bedroom.

Non-woven wallpaper

Non-woven wallpaper is made of cellulose and polyester fibres. The wallpaper is easy to use as the wallpaper strips are hung directly on a pasted wall, in contrast from many older types of wallpaper.

Wallpaper for every space

Josef Frank had a theory when it came to wallpaper. He felt that colours as well as patterns could take away the feeling of confinement and that wallpaper therefore could be used advantageously in small spaces, for example in a smaller hall or in a child’s room. Today however, Josef Frank’s printed wallpaper is used just as often in the bedroom, kitchen or living room.

One of Josef Frank’s many quotes when it comes to interiors and interior design reflects his thoughts on wallpaper:

“Bright colours and strong patterns can take away the feeling of confinement. Even a pokey little cubicle can be exciting with striking wallpaper.”

Wallpaper and samples online

When choosing a wallpaper for a room, you should only think about your personal taste. The wallpaper will lift and transform the whole feeling in the room.

At svenskttenn.se you can order wallpaper samples for 50 SEK. This will make it easy for you to look at the wallpaper at home. One tip is to hang it on the wall, and look at it at different hours of the day. The light will fall different, and the wallpaper will have different expressions in morning and evening. You should also think about how the wallpaper feels in the room, and if you get tired of it quickly or if you want to see more of the same colour or pattern.

If you are renovating and making other colour choices, it may be a good idea to bring the wallpaper sample to the store and use it as a colour reference. Also, hold the wallpaper sample against the floor and the mouldings in the room, and make sure they are in harmony with each other.

When you have made your choice, you can order the wallpaper you need online at svenskttenn.se or at the store on Strandvägen 5 in Stockholm.

Wallpaper printing technique

All Svenskt Tenn wallpaper are printed with distemper paint – a special technique that gives the wallpaper patterns a unique structure and vibrant feeling. Through the distemper technique, the solid craftsmanship is ever present in the final result, where a slight ridge forms in the material. This structure can be felt by drawing your hand over the finished wallpaper.

The distemper printing technique dates back to the early 1800s and is today a way for Svenskt Tenn to come as close as possible to Josef Frank’s original thoughts and print ideas. The technique makes every single roll of wallpaper unique. The wallpaper’s pattern and details may differ slightly and factors such as weather, humidity and other elements in the production process are some of the things that can affect the wallpaper’s end result.
