In the making of this sustainable cotton bag, Svenskt Tenn collaborates with Reused Remade, who creates eco-friendly textile products from reused hotel bed linen. By challenging the current production of both fabric and plastic bags, the company contributes to the future’s circular economy.
Josef Frank’s Stockholm Map was initially shown as a cushion in the studio of Svenskt Tenn at the 1939 New York World's Fair. At this time, the print was also used for handkerchiefs.
Eighty percent of Svenskt Tenn’s collection consists of products that are of our own design. Josef Frank alone left behind 3,000 sketches and about 250 textile designs. Sometimes Svenskt Tenn produces products based on models from the archive, which contains sketches and designs from both Josef Frank and Estrid Ericson.
