Designer Sara Söderberg created the ‘Gryning’ (Dawn) tableware with the thought and hope that it could have been part of Svenskt Tenn’s founder, Estrid Ericson’s poetic table settings.
The transparency of the white clay is enhanced by the relief. The tactile, wavy surface is a reminder that each detail has been designed and produced by hand. The Gryning (Dawn) dinnerware has been created for the first meal of the day: a plate, a bowl and a cup and saucer – meant for both coffee and tea. The dinnerware is handcrafted at Porslinsfabriken (Porcelain Factory) in Lidköping, Sweden.
