In newspaper articles during the 1950s, Estrid Ericson shows how to arrange seasonal bouquets. She presented the beauty of simple seed capsules and grass, but also how flowers could be combined to refined bunches and bouquets.

In 1957, Josef Frank designed a collection of four vases; no. 7, 5, 13 and 8 - all with completely different shapes: high, narrow, wide and low. The smallest of these vases is No. 8, only 11 centimetres high and 13 centimetres wide. This vase is beautifully suited for smaller flower arrangements; buds, tulips and short stems.

"YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY VASES. EACH VASE MUST PERFECTLY FIT THE CHOSEN FLOWERS, OTHERWISE THE ARRANGEMENT WILL NOT REACH ITS FULL POTENTIAL. ONE SHOULD THEREFORE HAVE ALMOST AS MANY VASES AS THERE ARE SPECIES OF FLOWERS.”
